Abel Recon provides DC Water with Sprayroq Tank Liner

When DC Water was looking for a reliable, long term liner system, Sprayroq's SprayWall polyurethane liner checked all the boxes. It was a proven system for them as they had experience with it as a liner at their recently updated Poplar Point pump station. The structural aspect of the liner was also an attractive component for the authority. As well as its bonding strength to existing concrete and fast curing for rapid turnover. The two component polyurethane system was used as a liner for the walls, troughs, and exposed exterior sections of their 70'+ diameter gravity thickening clarifier tanks.

During the project, 10 tanks total would be mechanically rebuilt by the general contractor Ulliman Schutte, then Abel Recon would apply SprayWall to the concrete walls and troughs of the tank. Application thickness for the liner ranged from 125 mils to 250 mils. The project consumed more than 75,000 lbs of material, and was completed over a 3 year period.

Additionally, DC Water added a few supporting assets to the project, including a wet well and 8 scum wells.
